The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services for the community.

SASSA will be rendering providers like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency explained it can be alarmed concerning the large number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated website Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some high variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office committed to service the area regularly. The services place established for intervention experiences a substantial inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it difficult for your office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional methods to help the servicing of all customers and increase usage of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
